Cameron Lake

the water was cold, but there was no keeping the kids away from it :)

this was a nice little short hike...perfect for the kiddos

it lead us to another beautiful lake....

we were excited to see some wildlife, so we were all on the look out! we saw a deer and then we saw something in the water, but they ended up being some ducks bunched together :) they have bear signs all over, but I'm glad we didn't see any on the hike!!

We spent a little over a week in this beautiful little town....

we had so much fun being with everyone there!!

i loved watching these cute cousins interact and hang out with each other!!

such cuties....we totally had a 0,1,2,3,4 and 5 yr....funny huh?!

and one of the neatest part of the trip was getting to watch the bears out in the wild....

One of our fav vacays for the summer has got to be Michigan! it is always a blast!

We had all of the Parkinson side there, except Joe (he's on his mission) ....it think it was somewhere like 35 of us!! crazy!! but so much fun to hang out with all the cousins and the in laws!!

here are just a few from my camera....im excited to get all our other fun pics....you can't go wrong with pictures that are outside and by the water :) add in some cute kiddos and viola, we've got a blog post ;)

Going to see the Moon

Grandmother invited us to go see the moon with her and granddoc and the family and of course we couldnt miss it!
Grandmother brings her cookies that are always delicious and we get to hang out, talk and spend some quality time together watching the moon come up over the mountains! so beautiful!
but of course i didnt get any pictures with grandmother, but we did manage one as a fam :)

It was a fun and busy day! my sweet friends brought me a cake and i got a cafe rio gift card...yum! the kids were singing happy birthday to me all day long.... and then we ended the day with the Cheesecake Factory! super yum!! The kids were so excited to sing to me...the waitress came over and Tyler blurted out..."its my moms birthday, we need to sing to her" haha and so they sang :) and isnt it so cute how they added mom on there....thank you david, family and friends for making it a fun day for me!
I'm gettin' old...Happy 28th to me! :)

David started with his shirt off, then of course Tyler HAD to take his shirt off too and then Hailey started to look around.....comes up to me and says she needs her shirt off...i tell her girls dont take their shirts off to work out....so she goes back over to the boys, then comes back a couple minutes later and says that shes hot and wants to change, so i help her take her shirt off and well, she tricked me, she ran back to the boys with a BIG grin on her face, soooo excited to be one of the guys :) lol

they loved hanging out with their cute cousins!! thanks aunt brittney they had a blast and continue to ask everyday when they are going to kates house again :)

so while they were gone, the 2 youngest and i got some time
we played together, took naps together :) and tried to take some pictures together.....and this was the best one of the bunch...looks like i got another child that cant keep their eyes open when theres a flash...lol!

Natalie has been good....at the beginning she would just wanted to be held a lot and want to just look at the baby, but she has come around a lot! shes gotten used to him now and she loves him just as much as the other kids...yay!

he is beyond excited to have a little brother!

when we went to get the ultrasound to find out what ryan was....tyler and hailey came with me....ty wanted a boy and hailey wanted a girl....when they finally told us "its a boy" tyler jumped up and yelled "YES!!!" while hailey threw herself on the floor and said "i dont want a boy i want a girl!" it was too funny!
so now that hes here, tyler tells us about all the things that he wants to teach him.....things like superheros, tball, storm troopers, soccer, sking....and anything else that he can think of at the moment....its so cute! and were so happy they have each other :)

So first he had his john deere tractor, then his hot wheels and now he's movin' on up again...time for a "real" bike!

He loves it so much, he is always asking if he could ride it places....to preschool, to someones house, down the block to get precious, anywhere and everywhere......

we were getting ready to pick hales up from preschool, he asked if he could pick her up on his bike, i was like, hmmmm, sure...he was soooo excited! nat and i hoped in the car and he raced us to go get her :)

can you tell how much he is lovin' it!

this little 20 month old is a riot!
she keeps us as well as her brother and sister on our toes at all times
she is pure comedy....
she eats anything off the floor (still!), she is an expert gibberish talker, she can twirl for hours when she hears music, she HAS to be in the middle of everything-no leaving this one out! she loves to cuddle (when shes sad) she has her mom and then dad days, she knows what she wants, she will eat you out of all your chocolate and candy, she loves her milk and her blanket, she loves princesses!, she adores all shoes (tylers, haileys, moms, dads) she loves meeting new kids her size, shes getting acclimated to nursery thanks to her wonderful nursery leaders, she still has her mullet, she doesnt like me doing her hair, she loves sunglasses, she still goes by the name "chunks", hailey calls her "natty", she will eat pretty much anything and loves dads lentils lately, she is a wild child, she is fast and will run off to whatever she wants to see, she thinks its funny that im 9 mths pregnant and she is faster than me and teases me about it :), she wants to be just like her older siblings and loves playing with them and chasing them, she loves animals!, she has the cutest smile and the funniest personality, i still call her the baby, she brings such joy to our family and we are lucky to have her here with us!

Yesterday was Davids brithday!
we started by letting him sleep in, then jumping on him to wake him up and we had pancakes with peanut butter waiting for him and some cute videos from the kids, then we had a great time going to the primary presentation at church, then dinner and games with friends!
I think he had a good day :) hope we made it special for you....we love you!!!

here are some reasons why we love David so much!

enjoy!

because hes always there to teach us how to bowl and get a strike!

because he takes us on rides in cool go karts

because he does fireworks with us, even if we get home really late, but he promised his son and the neighbor girl he would :)

because he helps out at our birthday parties

because he plays with us in the pool

and catches us off the slides :)

because he takes us on father son campouts when its cold and rainy, but he knows that they'll have fun anyways

because he does things to make us laugh

because he reads and spends time with us

and mostly because he can handle the 3 of us!!! :)

and mom too ;)

and we love him for all that and more!!!

Father Son Time

David and Ty went on a motorcycle trip w/ daves parents, grandmother and granddoc, uncle steve and aunt sue ellen, aunt inajane and cousin west

they're a little too excited to be leaving us, dont ya think???

david said tyler had a blast and tyler said that too :)

they had some long 6+ plus hours on the bike and david said he couldn't have asked for a better riding partner and so did everyone else! ty was kinda sad that they never did camp one night, but i guess they pulled into places kinda late, so they just got hotel rooms. he never wanted to get off....they had a van that grandmother and granddoc were in and they had room for ty just in case he got tired and wanted to jump in to sleep or watch a movie.....but nope not once!! well, david did say he did ride in the van once cause he was falling asleep and after a lot of coaxing from the van party, he went in the they told david to get out of sight so he wouldnt change his mind :) lol

but he couldnt stop talking about it when he got home, he told me a bout all the beautiful leaves and the colors and about how he would tap dad on the back if he needed to fix his helmet straps so they wouldnt be wacking him in the face or if he needed to go pee :) only the necessities, haha

they drove down to moab, then onto colorado and went through cortez, durango, did the durango loop, mesa verde national park....yeah talk about road warriors...i'll have to get some more pics from aunt sue ellen, im sure she has some good ones!

what a fun trip for them!! glad that ty got to go!

Star Wars

Ty is obsessed with star wars!

so for his birthday we got him a HUGE collection of star wars figurines....and he is in HEAVEN!

he plays with them everyday all day and is even being a storm trooper for halloween...

for the 4th of july we headed over to the haslers for a fun little bbq

the baby wasnt feeling very well though :(

but we got a couple good ones :)

then we headed back to our house that evening and did some fireworks with the neighbors

the favorite of the night had to be the parachute man.....the first attempt, the wind took it way far away....the 2nd one was a dud....but third times a charm....it was awesome! the kids loved it! tyler especially!

june 15th was the night he was supposed to be home....a delay in layovers held him back....he missed his flight from slc to st george.....so we patiently waited for him to arrive the next morning....and he did...and it was so exciting!!!

Camping

we went camping up af canyon...we'll at least thats where we were supposed to camp :) after jon and craig drove for a couple hours trying to find the perfect spot....we didnt....so we drove a few more miles up to cascade springs and found a nice little campground...and so our adventure began :)

we got there kinda late, so we had to set up the tents before nightfall...
we put a ton of bug spray on!!

funny story with that one....so davids applyig the bug spray...he tells me to close my eyes and he'll spray my face...i do it....after a couple of seconds...my lip starts tingling...and burning and i feel it swelling up....i tell david...he says...oh yeah its supposed to do that....uh no, i dont think so! i pick up the bottle and what does it say....keep away from eyes and LIPS!!!!!!
fabulous :) and what does david say..."kiss me...it will feel good"....what a great idea babe...lol
the crazy tingling finally did go away and the burning too and my lip didnt swell up....so if you're using backwoods bug repellant and if it happens to get on your lip...its all good..it only lasts for a little while ;)

ok, back to our night....
we got the fire going and then got our food on :)

and p.s anything over a fire is good! dont ya think?!

and heres our tent....it was nice and spacious....we brought a crib for the baby and the kids were tucked nicely into their sleeping bags....it was pretty chilly so we snuggled right up next to them and it would have been a nice and peaceful night if only my baby didnt wake up every hour, we took her out of the crib and slept with her but man, the poor thing just couldnt get comfortable, she'd fall asleep, then wake up, fall asleep then wake up...she finally went to bed probably at about 5 30ish, and i know that because the sun started to come up, lol! ...the other kids did great though and woke up nice and rested....ahhh....to be able to just sleep through the night....what a life....hahaha
to the babys credit...it was her first time camping, no worries natalie, we'll get you acclimated :)

the next morning we had a great big breakfast from the good ol dutch oven...thanks guys we loved it!
and after breakfast we ventured out...trying to find the moose i spotted driving up...i'm pretty sure i didn see one...it was huge!! and the camp host guy did say there was a mamma and a baby moose...

good times, good times!!

Growing up

Vegas fun...pool side

we were in st george, so we made the quick trip to vegas to see the dyes

pool side is where you need to be in the summer down there, so there is we went :)

little kate is a pro in the pool and tyler wanted to join in on the fun.....hes never swam by himself, so when we gave him some noodles and he jumped in, we were kinda scared, but he did great and swam the whole time we were there!

he was so proud of himself for swimming! cant you tell?!

hailey enjoyed the pool on the little pirate ship...sorry i didnt get any pictures of her cuteness, but she too had a great time!

St George

the next weekend we headed back to st george, my cousin robert came home from his mission from brazil...i had never been to the st george airport, let alone to welcome home a missionary, we made it with about 10 mins to spare, it was great, the st george airport is so tiny....the plane lands and they walk right off the plane into the little airport, its great!

roland and andrea were in town too to welcome home robert so we got to see them as well,it was so fun...we miss them now that they are in texas

friday night we headed over to annies parents house

we bbqed, hung out and watched the babies of group be super cute!

Memorial Day

we headed up to the wheatleys for some fun in their backyard and bbqing!!

hailey is always in heaven there with all their fun costumes and dolls to play with

we had a great time while we were there...we said goobye to the evansons {well that wasnt very fun :)}, we ate some yummy burgers and desserts, the kids played outside til night fall and the adults had a good little b-ball tourney!

we had double eliminations..and it was so much fun!

david and i made the championships :) but the neilsons took us out

i should have taken pictures it was a blast!

we finished the night off with smores and a some twilight watching...getting us ready for the 3rd one :)

this is probably their all time favorite thing to do
sit around a fire and roast some marshmallows!!

BattleCreek Falls, PG

after pictures we headed up to battlecreek falls in pleasasnt grove...

it was a great little hike, took us about 45 mins and tyler walked the whole way, up and back, way to go buddy!!!

at the end of the hike we got to see a beautiful waterfall! and take some fun pictures too!

this was the first time i had to hike with a kid :) it proved to be challenging at some steep parts, but i made it and the backpack was super comfy the whole time :)

Classic Skating

while kelly, rich and their boys were in town we did a ton of fun activities....one of them was going to classic skating for ty's birthday...we had never been to the one in sandy, but it was so fun!!

this has probably got to be haileys favorite pastime with her daddy...although she doesn't look the happiest here....that's just because he hadn't started skating yet...i had to take a picture first :)

Mothers Day 2010

these 3 little cuties make life as a mother amazing and challenging and everything i have ever hoped for.

they have helped me become a different person...they have taught me everything from patience to craziness and most importantly the power of love...i never thought i would have this much fun staying home and helping them with their every demand :) but i couldnt ask for anything more! i love it...from the good times to the not so good times....the joy that they bring into my life is unmeasurable!

the baby cant even talk and i still feel like she talks to me everyday, she has the sweetest demeanor and the best little hugs, shes adorable! my middle child :) she is the cutest little girl in the world, she is so girly and shy, but loves to be included and loves to learn and try new things, she is so fun to be around and the oldest one is like nothing i could have dreamed of, he is the best kid out there...what would i do without my ty ty baby...

they make up my life....i cant think of a day without them, i am so blessed to have them in my life and to be able to raise them and teach them and protect them in this life...i know what a privilege and great blessing motherhood is and i cant express the deep gratitude i have for this important calling in my life!

and thank you to my mother and her great example of love.. she a great mother and we couldnt ask for a better grammy for the kids!

we love you and all the other fabulous mothers out there including mamia, grandmother, sister, mother in law, sister in laws, and aunts...they are the best examples and are some of the most wonderful women i know and the kids are lucky to have them in their lives!

Snowbird Vacation

we headed up to snowbird for a couple days to ski, play games and hang out up in the mountains!

thanks you jody for watching all these crazy kids and being 9 months pregnant too :) lucky her huh!

she watched the kids for the morning so that i could go ski in the 30+ inches that the mountains got the night before....so everyone was super excited to ski the "powder" and me i was a little nervous, cause i have only ever skied groomer runs, but i went and did it and it was pretty nice :)

my first run down, i hit a ton of snow and face planted it, but no worries the 30 inches of snow made it seem like i landed in a bunch of feather pillows, seriously! i didnt know the snow could be that soft

we skied and skied and skied, my legs were killing after! but david and i had a ton of fun and im excited to do it again!

these are the kids when i walked in and the snow was coming off of my boots....they were crazy about it...picking up the ice and eating it off my boots!

it was snowing the whole 2 and a half days we were there....and this was the middle of may!!

after we skied, david took tyler out.....

really? time flies!!
and since i am behind on my post...in "real life" shes already 10 months :)

so we took her in and she was all caught up on her shots so we got her weighed and checked out and here are the stats:

natalie is EVERYWHERE!!!

she crawls like crazy, following the kids around and getting into whatever she wants!

she still puts everything in her mouth!! everything!!

she will smile 99% of the day

she likes to be cuddled with but loves her independence

she is so sweet

she wakes up with a smile on her face and then when we lay her down at night, that smile is still there :)

she sleeps fabulously!

she loves to eat....bananas, peas, but her fav would have to be the cheetos i give her to keep her quiet in church :)

she loves to see her siblings

she has 2 teeth
she sleeps with her blanket...and has never taken a pacifier

she loves to have people chase her....she cracks up!

she is no longer a baby....she can pull herself up on things, crawls super fast, says dada all the time, still trying to hook her on the word mama

but its ok, shes a bit attached to me anyways...i feel the love :)

after you get her from her crib, she lunges to the door to open it for you and then she raises her hand to give you a high five...so cute!

david went in one saturday to pick get her out of bed and she was totally standing.... david nonchalantly comes in our room with her and says, so.... can she stand...cause she was standing right up when i went in there....im like WHAT???? i missed it, did you take a picture!! come on what are the odds :) so i would go in with my camera everytime she would wake up after he told me....and it took about 3 days for her to do it again...but i did finally get it, so here she is in all her standing glory :) enjoy!

Kettle Corn

i have never been a fan, but david went shopping with us on friday and grabbed some...got tyler excited about it, ate almost the whole pkg with him this weekend...and has made him a believer!

he has asked for it by name more times than i can count...he gobbles it up way too fast and has even told me that im silly for not liking it :)

but this smile does accompany ever bowl full....so i guess i can appreciate that :)

Maglebys Fresh

We love "the fresh" but the closest one to us is down in provo, so we were so excited to hear that they were opening one in LINDON!! YAY!

they had family night to get the staff ready and we were there!

everyone was there too, so it was fun to eat with all the family and aunt and uncles and cousins and grandmother and grandoc! they're always fun to see :)

Vegas Baby

we headed down to vegas with the blakes a couple weeks back for a quick fun trip down on the strip!

we had a lot of fun...spent a lot of money, ate a lot of good food and saw a really fun show!

all in a days work :)

heres our day of fun...adults only! :)

this is right before heading to vegas....

we stayed in st george friday night then saturday morning we slept in, went down to main street for some breakfast at the bear claw and then we were off!

our first stop was lunch :) and we totally had to take the blakes to rasing canes.....

(its a louisiana restaurant and plus its super good...they have chicken fingers and really good fry sauce and their lemonade is awesome too!)

love that place!!

then the boys went shooting and mikel and i hit up the spa at Caesars

a little more than we wanted to spend on our manis and pedis, so we started to reconsider, but when they told me the cancellation fee was one hundred dollars...i said ok...let get the pedicure...yeah at least they let me cancel my 75 dollar manicure :)

mikel sat with me and got a nice polish and then she headed over to her prenatal massage!

yes, she came when she was like 39 weeks so she deserved it :)

david and i when they came to pick us up

then we hit up some Bellagio conservatory

they always have something beautiful in there!

then we checked out the city center and then off to serendipity3 for dinner

we met up with my sis and bro in law and baby lucy

we sat out on the patio and took in the beautiful weater

then we ordered...we were thinking about their $1000.00 sundae, yes i said one thousand dollars! since we were on a spendin' spree :) but we decided on chilled hot chocolate as an appetizer instead :)

i tried to get my husband to cooperate with me for a cute picture sippin' our hot chocolate...but sometimes he's harder than the kids! as you can see :)

here we all are...thanks for taking it britt!

then some more fun ones....my goal was a ridiculous amount of pictures together....and by the way we fell short! haha just kidding....i was seriously asking mikel to take a picture of us every other minute :) ...we did good!

after dinner we hopped into the dyes car and they dropped us off just in time to pick up our vip tickets to mystere...yes i said V.I.P....thats how we roll...dont you want to come with us next time :) lol

but it was great! there was a huge line...we skipped it and picked up our tickets and sat in the 3rd row right in the middle...great seats!

the show was not what i expected...especially the"baby" haha but it was amazing! like all the cirque shows im sure! these people are ridiculously crazy talented! so fun to watch!! just plain amazing!!!

and then at around midnight....sadly it all came to an end...the blakes had to head back...david and i got a hotel and hung out til sunday....we walked around and played with some ipads at the apple store and then went to my sisters house to hang out before i had to take dave to the airport to head to san fran...so i dropped him off at the airport then went on my way back to the george to see the childrens :) and then our little vacay was offically over :)

thank you blakes for coming with us! we had a great time and it was nice to get away and spend some time with some great friends!!

and i cannot thank my mom enough for watching our 3 crazy kiddos...and kevin too of course! and rocio helped too and carly too!

our joy school field trip for the letter W was going to the legacy pool!

they have a great pool for the kids...they love it!

wellllllllll all except the big wheel barrel that dumps a TON of water onto you and is really loud :)

fun huh?!..........

we got dumped on easter morning, but no worries it was gone by the afternoon

but when we looked out the window to check the snow out....we also saw these little footprints....and told the kids that the easter bunny left out the back door :)

i really have NO clue!

david said it was a mouse....it went from under the backdoor steps to all the way to the play set....but seriously a mouse? arent those kinda big feet for those cute little gray mice???

General Conference

was great as always!

we loved the talks and the opportunity to be able to watch all the sessions and listen to all the uplifiting talks that were given!

the kids were a little wild on saturday but when we turned it on sunday, its like they knew what to do....and actually listened for most of the sunday morning session....good job guys!

ty would ask some funny questions.....they would catch everytime someone said jesus in their talk....and they sang and conducted the music when it was time to sing!

we're grateful for our leaders and the inspiring talks they give! we have our favorites, but every talk has something that we can learn from it and we hope to remember them and apply them in our lives!

she is known to draw on random things

she loves to be left alone with a marker so that she can do her thang :)

while i was vacuuming she made herself a masterpiece

(dont you just love her face)

this is the inside of the down stairs closet....

so after i was done vaccuming i opened the closet door to put away the vacuum and saw this!!!

i gasped very loud....and hailey knew what i was thinking :)

she had her fun and knew it was over.....

she even had time to make her feet all pretty....

i just took the marker away and threw it in the garbage...i was still in shock that she did so much....luckily it was in the closet!!

so then of course....for every action...there is a consequence

and so she cleaned and cleaned and cleaned :) and she is still cleaning cause it is still not out....lol j/k

about the still cleaning part...the still not out part is no joke....

fun night for me :)

p.s. i told her that when her daddy got home that she would have to tell him what she did and so when dave got home...he asked her what she did and he couldnt resist her big ol' brown eyes and was just very relieved she didnt draw on anything of his :)

Hogle Zoo

we went to the hogle zoo a couple weeks ago with mikel and lily....we had never been and we totally loved it!!

it was the most prefect day! high 60s, sunshine! it was great!

ive never seen so many wild animals so close, so that was neat and they had so many baby animals!! they are the cutest things ever!!

especially this little elephant!! he was so active...running from here to there...i loved watching him! :)

the kids did too :)

we got there just in time to see them play with them and feed them

this little guy was so fun to watch....and he could move so fast considering how big he is!

then we went to see the giraffes

they really are this close! and then you can also go into this enclosure and feed them...

i know he doesnt look too happy...but maybe he was trying to sleep :)

but i just read on the news that he died on sunday....so sad!

supposedly the mother was a first time mother and she was having a hard time weaning him... :( poor baby giraffe

this peacock was squawking all over the place trying to find his friend

this one was in the gorilla enclosure and his friend was in the one next door :)

they had a few of them walking around too....such beautiful colors

speaking of gorillas

well i dont know why i didnt take a picture of him maybe because we were worried that he was going to throw his poop at us....yes i said that right....we got up the hill to say hi and right as we got there, he turns around, poops...grabs the poop with one hand then the other and then turns and looks at us....we were seriously thinking he was going to chuck it at us

we waited to see what he was going to do....he stayed there for a while holding it and then went off and took a few bites

and now when you ask tyler about gorillas or just the zoo....all he says is that gorillas eat their poop...

fun huh :) lol

they have this way fun play area....the kids loved it!

mikel went in with the kids so i could take the picture

of course i had my big lens so i didnt get anything around them :(

but there are a bunch of prairie dogs running around and you go in this cave and can stick your head up and check them out

obviously the kids couldnt just stand and look through them...poor 8 mth pregnant mikel had to hold them both up so they could see and i could take a picture :)

anyways, the zoo was a total blast!!

and we cant wait to go back again!!
