Miss Cutie Pie

So last week, Sat the 21st we got up and we totally remembered that uvsc was having the Freedom Festival Baby Contest that morning. So we hurry up and get Hailey in her Red, White and Blue and head down to Orem. We barely made it in time for her age group. It was pretty funny. We were looking all over the place trying to find out where we register her and where she gets judged, no one knew anything. Finally David goes up to this table and asks, they point us in the right direction just in the nic of time, we had 5 mins til her age group closed, we filled out the paper work and then went to the judging.

They had us place her on the table and they were just like, well you can try to make her laugh, so I was with Tyler, Hailey had just woken up, they gave her toys, she was more interested in them, she wasnt looking at the judges, so I go by and try to help out. Luckily she starts smiling and giggling and then the judges couldnt get enough!!!
So then that was it, winners were going to be announced at 3pm

So 3 o'clock comes around, we take our seats, they had a lot of raffles before they announced the winners. We know how cute she is, but didnt know if she would win b/c I guess you were supposed to dress them in costumes and stuff, but whatever, so as we are talking , they start announcing the winners and they call Hailey Parkinson, we jump up! David takes her to the stage, she gets a bunch of little things, a lot of the prizes were mostly for the parents, but I did like the one prize, they gave her a portrait pkg type thing, for a free 8 x 10 and a free session at fotogenix, so I was excited about that. She got a medal and onesie that says, I was a winner at the Freedom Festival baby contest. So it was fun. They took David and Haileys pic and they are going to show it at Stadium of Fire as well. She is also suppose to be in the July 4th parade in Provo. But I dont know if Im going to take her yet. They want us to walk with her in the stroller, it sounds fun, but I dont know how much she can take in the hot sun, but anyways, it was so much fun and congrats Hailey for being so darn cute!!!! :)

So the Lehi Round ups Baby Contest was that Tuesday, the 24th and since we had so much fun at the last one, I took her to the lehi one too!
Same type of thing, they had 3 jugdes and they just had me hold her and it was so funny! I did nothing, she looked at the first judge and smiled, second judge and smiled, third and smiled. It was too cute, they're like did you train her to do that. She was giggling with them, she was being such a ham! Then we got to get a free picture, so we go in the photo area, Hailey is super happy, I sit her down and then the photographer puts one of those feather things in her face and totally yanks it away, well Hailey had her mighty strong grip on that feather and the woman totally yanked it from her and she almost fell, so needless to say after that, Hailey was so scared, she was crying, the woman was not very cooperative, but hello, she made her cry, so bum, I didnt get a free smiley pic. But anyways, Tyler had fun, he got a balloon, we saw some people from our ward there, quite a few actually, and then we left and needed to come back at 3 for the winners. Haileys category was the first one and YAY they called her name. She took 2nd, the 3rd and 1st place girls didnt even go, so we were standing on the podium all alone, but it was fun. She just smiles, like she knows she won, its too funny. She won 25 dollars, it was 15 to register, so hey we made 10 bucks, COOL!
So I just wanted to share. Miss Hailey is offically cute!! lol It was fun and it will be fun to tell her about too! I didnt get any pics of Hailey at the lehi one, I just dressed her up in a white dress and pink bow, she looked darling!!
Anyways, Congrats Hailey!!! We love you and think you are the cutest thing ever!!
