Mini Vacay

at the Zermatt

We were able to go up to the Zermatt Resort last Sunday for a little R&R for a day and a half. How fun is it to go and stay at a hotel for a night and play some miniature golf, go swimming, play games, ride the carousel, have a buffet for breakfast.......yeah, it was AWESOME! even if it was just for the night. Cyndy and Holly had some nights to use up there and they decided to make it a family affair and invite the rest of us! We got up there Sunday afternoon and started with mini golf. The course was pretty hard, i was impressed, the kids had fun kicking the golf balls and dragging their clubs around. They eventually all ended up by the pond and took turns throwing rocks. They're so cute!

We then headed back to the rooms for dinner. We ate, watched some olympic trials, played with the kids then put them to bed, used our cell phones as baby monitors (cool huh, yeah that was a tip from Christy and James and it worked GREAT!)
we jumped in the hot tub and then played some ticket to ride!

The next day the men had to head for work. We ate a lot of breakfast, yummy pancakes and the orange juice was the best. Most of the kids woke up at about 6 in the morning so they were pretty wired, and with us being minus husbands, yeah that made for a great morning :)
So we took the kids on the carousel.

We did 2 rides and then we ran out of tokens (i have no pics b/c i videoed it)
Tyler was not happy to get off. I had Hailey in one arm and Tyler kicking and screaming in the other, yeah it was a sight to see, we definitely made a scene.
So the kids played and played and by 10:30-11 they were pretty much all played out. We were supposed to stay longer, but cranky kids dont want to do much, so Christy, Micheal, Lexi, Tyler, Hailey and I took off.

It so fun to have all the cousins together!
Tyler loves it and even though Hailey is still a baby, you can tell she loves it too!

Its always nice to get away and spend time with family!
Thanks for the room Cyndy! sorry we couldnt stay longer, but we still had a GREAT time!
