4th of July

We got a late start on the 4th. The night before we went to dinner for Christys B-day and then we went to Alpine to watch Vantage Point. I fell asleep during the middle of it, but it started off good.

So anyways, we did not go to the parade in Provo, I was thinking about it the night before and I just thought that we would have to get up too early, wake the kids up and we had had a long night, so we didnt go and Hailey didnt get to be in the parade, sorry Hailey, maybe next year!
So we planned our activities for the day, the kids took their naps and then when they woke up we headed over to the Blakes to meet sweet baby Lily. Well, Mikel walked in and there was no baby, we're like uh wheres Lily, it was funny, she was with her grandma because she didnt want to take her to Stadium of Fire, so we still didnt get to meet her! but we did the next day! and she is Precious!!
So we hung out there for a bit, they shared their pizza with us,

Then we went to Davids parents house to take pictures.
We were all dressed in red, white and blue and wanted some pics.
No one was there, but they have this awesome tripod and it worked great!

we tried the kids again, but now Tyler was ready and Hailey definitely wasnt :)

Then we jumped in the car around 6 and headed down to Provo for Stadium of Fire

The traffic wasnt that bad, we paid 5 dollars to park
David straped Hailey in the baby bjorn and Tyler rode in the stroller
We got a jamba juice on the way and when we were going in the park, the mean security man totally took Tylers jamba juice right out of his hand and chucked it, I couldnt believe it, he was so rude
anyways, so we get in and someone yanks on my diaper bag, im like what in the world, and ha ha, its Brittney, Dan and Kate. It was funny. It was good to see them!
So Christy got us the tickets and they were not all together but pretty close, so she was trying to switch some people, but no one really wanted to move so we were kinda split up. It was fine, we sat with Jody and Mark and luckily there was a huge row that no one sat in right behind us so we had plenty of room!
Glenn Beck was the host and he did great, I like him!
He started to talk about the colors of the flag and then all of a sudden there is this huge white thing coming over us, we did not know about this at all, but it was way cool!

Supposedly white went down the fastest, go us!

Miley Cyrus was crazy! It was fun though, we did know one of her songs! Go us!
we danced around and tried to sing along :)

the kids couldnt have been better...well not at the beginning. So they start the prayer and Tyler totally starts freaking out and yelling and kicking. I'm holding Hailey and then she starts and this is all during the prayer! Everyone kept looking at us and I really couldnt believe we had the only kids making a scene..sorry everyone, but luckily after that, it was smooth sailing! Luckily!

Tyler loves SODA!! loves loves loves it and popcorn, so he was good to go
and we thought Hailey wouldnt like the noise, but she was totally jammin, everytime a song came on, the people behind us would talk to her and she would go nuts, it was funny, they both were having a great time!

toward the end of the night, Tyler took his seat on Jodys belly, it was so cute, he didnt want anything but to sit on Aunt Jodys belly :) funny huh?

We left during the firework show. We really didnt want to be stuck in traffic for too long and then Tyler really wasnt enjoying the fireworks....but Hailey on the other hand was mesmerized!
No joke. She would not take her eyes off of them. She LOVED it!It was a great 4th! We were kinda leary about taking the kids with us, but it turned out GREAT! and we are glad we all went
